Thanks for helping to spread the word! But there aren't that many early locations. There's one open now, at 620 Lomas Boulevard, NW. On June 19 (next Sat.) 16 more will open. They will all be open six days a week, 12 hrs a day until June 2 (Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm). (That includes the Monday May 28th Memorial Day holiday.) On election day, June 5, there will be 69 locations open, including all the early voting ones. At the County website, you can see a list and interactive map of them. You can also print your sample ballot before you go. http://www.bernco.gov/mvi

Great video Sarah. I just got through calling the representatives in my district to ask them to resign from ALEC. To my surprise, 2 of them were Democrats.

The laws that ALEC continues to write and push through state houses are dangerous and everyone should educate themselves about them. Everyone has to keep the pressure on all of the companies to withdraw from ALEC.

All of this could have been avoided if the recent Charter Commission had given voters the opportunity to increase the number of Council districts. Instead, we got pay raises dictated by an unelected citizens committee apointed by an apointed committee.

In fact, this fund is called the "Permanent School Fund" (PSF) in the NM State Constitution.

The PSF was established by the Territory of New Mexico in 1911, as a condition of pending statehood.

Read NM State Constitution, Article XII, Section 2 [PERMANENT SCHOOL FUND].

There is something "fishy" about NM power elite and the mainstream media's refusal to call the PSF by its real name.

"Land Grant" Fund has big negative connotation for NM's hispanic communities, so we suspect the power elite would rather the people be misinformed and misled about one of the largest educational endowments in the world ---- NM's Permanent School Fund --- valued at $10 billion.

The power elite desires that we believe NM is "poor", and therefore, has no money to pay for a first-rate, Cadillac public education system of pre-K to 12 schools, colleges, and universities.

Meanwhile, state lawmakers allow the PSF (minus 5.8% of the interest earned) to be returned to Wall Street, to be invest in such stocks as Carnival Cruise Lines, Inc.

As of Sept., 2011, the PSF had earned approx. $600 million in interest. $35 million went into the General Fund "for education", and $565 million went back into the fund, and shipped back to Wall Street.
